About Las Vegas

Las Vegas is unlike any other city in America — a dazzling oasis of entertainment, luxury, and spectacle in the Mojave Desert. The Strip's mega-resorts, world-class shows, celebrity chef restaurants, and 24-hour energy make Las Vegas a uniquely American experience. Beyond the Strip, the city is also a gateway to the Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, and Hoover Dam.

Getting Around

The Las Vegas Strip is walkable, though distances between resorts can be deceptive. The Las Vegas Monorail runs along the east side of the Strip. Taxis and rideshare services are widely available. Free trams connect some resort clusters. A car is useful for day trips to Red Rock Canyon, the Grand Canyon, and Hoover Dam.

The Strip offers the widest range of accommodation, from budget to ultra-luxury. Downtown Las Vegas offers more affordable options with a local feel. Off-Strip hotels can offer better value with easy access to the Strip by rideshare.
