Our Commitment to Transparency
United States Trip is an independent travel information platform. We are committed to being transparent about how we generate revenue and how that may affect the content we publish.
Affiliate Links and Booking Tools
Some links and tools on this Site are part of an affiliate relationship. When you use these links or the car rental search and subsequently make a purchase or booking through the third-party website, we may receive a commission or referral fee from that third party. This commission is paid by the third party and does not increase the price you pay.
Affiliate links are identified with the disclosure "We may earn a commission if you book through this link" or similar wording placed near each link or tool. Outbound affiliate links open in a new browser tab and use the rel="sponsored noopener" attribute.
Current Affiliate Relationships
This Site currently participates in the DiscoverCars affiliate programme (www.discovercars.com), a car rental comparison platform.
On the Car Rentals page, car rental search results are fetched by our server from the DiscoverCars API and displayed on this Site. Your search criteria (pickup location, dates, driver age and residence) are sent to DiscoverCars via our server to retrieve available offers. We do not process bookings, handle payments, or receive your payment details. Booking is completed on the DiscoverCars website when you follow an outbound link.
Outbound affiliate links to DiscoverCars also appear on individual airport pages and in the Cars section of the homepage. These links carry affiliate tracking parameters and open on the DiscoverCars website.
This Site also participates in the Travelpayouts affiliate network (travelpayouts.com). Travelpayouts affiliate links appear on the Flights, Experiences, Hotels, Car Rentals, and Airport pages. These links are converted server-side using the Travelpayouts partner link API, which adds attribution parameters (marker and trs) to the outbound URL. The conversion request is made from our server; your browser contacts the destination provider only when you choose to follow a link.
Through the Travelpayouts network, this Site links to the following partners: Aviasales (aviasales.com) for flight fare observations and search; Klook (klook.com) for tours, activities, airport transfers, and hotel search; WeGoTrip (wegotrip.com) for self-guided audio tours and experiences.
Flight fares displayed on the Flights page are cached observations from the Aviasales Data API, fetched server-side. These are indicative cached fares, not guaranteed live prices. Booking completes on the Aviasales website. The Aviasales Data API provides cached fare data; it does not constitute a live booking engine or guarantee current availability.
Klook and WeGoTrip links on the Experiences, Hotels, Car Rentals, and Airport pages are outbound deep links to those providers' search and category pages. These are standard hyperlinks — no Klook or WeGoTrip scripts are loaded on this Site, and the providers are contacted only when you choose to follow a link.
Third-Party Scripts and Data Flows
Car rental search on the Car Rentals page uses a server-side proxy to the DiscoverCars API. Search requests are made from our server, not from your browser directly. No DiscoverCars scripts are loaded on this page. When you follow an outbound booking link to DiscoverCars, their website's own privacy policy and cookie policy apply.
The Travelpayouts Drive tracking script is a third-party script served from emrld.ltd (a Travelpayouts-operated domain). It is injected on every page of this Site, but only after you accept the cookie banner — it is not injected if you decline or have not yet responded. We do not control what cookies or storage this script may set on your device once loaded. Please refer to the Travelpayouts privacy policy and cookie policy for information about their data practices.
Outbound affiliate links to Aviasales, Klook, and WeGoTrip are standard hyperlinks. These providers are contacted only when you choose to follow a link; no scripts from these providers are loaded on this Site. The Travelpayouts Drive script is separate from these outbound links and is subject to your cookie consent choice.
Flight location autocomplete and fare data requests are made from our server to Travelpayouts API endpoints using a server-side token. Your search criteria (origin, destination, dates) are sent to the Travelpayouts API from our server. Your IP address and User-Agent may be visible to the Travelpayouts API as part of the server-to-server request. We do not pass your personal identity to these APIs.

Regulatory Compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255) and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions. If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships, please contact us via the contact form.
